The word KOINONIA is of Greek origin which means “solidarity” (fellowship, togetherness). KOINONIA is a non-profit, non-political and non-government voluntary organization.
KOINONIA, is a non-profit, non-political and Non -Government Organization, was formed in 1983 by the National Christian Fellowship of Bangladesh (NCFB) as its’ caring arm to serve the poor and the marginal people of Bangladesh irrespective of caste, creed, religion and culture.
VISION of KOINONIA:
KOINONIA envisions that all people to be establish their human rights, live in dignity and harmony as Children of God, being free from poverty, injustice and discrimination and be transformed.
MISSION of KOINONIA:
The Mission of Koinonia is to enhance capacity and opportunity of the poor, vulnerable people, communities and Churches through their initiatives and support of appropriate development services; establish their self-governed community-based institutions and networks, do advocacy for influencing policies and decisions affecting their lives and livelihoods.
